RESISTENSI PEREMPUAN MUSLIMAH DI KOTA SANGGAU TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN MOBILE BANKING

This study aims to analyze: 1) the resistance of Muslim women in Sanggau City toward using mobile banking, and 2) the factors contributing to such resistance. Using qualitative field research, data were collected through interviews and observations involving 10 respondents, including working and non-working Muslim women. Purposive sampling was applied until data saturation was achieved. The findings reveal varying levels of resistance among respondents. Some showed low resistance due to familiarity and prior use of mobile banking, while others exhibited high resistance due to lack of understanding and concerns about security. Key factors include:
- a) Knowledge: Limited knowledge led to hesitance in understanding mobile banking and its benefits, resulting in fear of potential risks.
- b) Security: Concerns over data safety and digital crime deterred users.
- c) Avoidance of extravagance: Mobile banking was perceived as fostering spending habits that could disrupt financial management.
- d) IT facilities: Poor internet connectivity in rural areas hindered the adoption of mobile banking services.
Recommendations include enhancing financial literacy programs, especially those targeting women, by Islamic banking institutions and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Future research should explore mobile banking systems comprehensively.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) resistensi perempuan Muslimah di Kota Sanggau terhadap penggunaan mobile banking, dan 2) faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi resistensi tersebut. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap 10 narasumber, termasuk perempuan bekerja dan ibu rumah tangga. Teknik purposive sampling diterapkan hingga data jenuh tercapai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat resistensi bervariasi. Sebagian rendah karena sudah memahami dan menggunakan mobile banking, sementara lainnya tinggi karena kurang memahami serta kekhawatiran keamanan. Faktor utama adalah:
- a) Pengetahuan: Minimnya pemahaman memicu ketakutan terhadap risiko.
- b) Keamanan: Kekhawatiran atas data dan kejahatan digital.
- c) Hindari boros: Mobile banking dianggap mempermudah perilaku konsumtif.
- d) Fasilitas IT: Koneksi internet yang buruk menghambat adopsi layanan.
Disarankan untuk memperkuat literasi keuangan oleh lembaga perbankan syariah dan OJK, serta penelitian lanjutan untuk mengkaji sistem mobile banking secara mendalam.
